A Weekend Retreat

Fall is a meaningful time of year to honour the harvest. Whether it be a "real" harvest of things planted in your garden or the harvest of efforts and intentions for your life that you set earlier in the year, the autumnal equinox is a potent portal to gather and bless seeds sown and abundance reaped. 

Join us for 2 nights and 2 days of celebration and ceremony on retreat at Ancient Cedars Lodge, a stunning boutique lodge in Pemberton, BC. Weekend packages include 4 spacious yoga practices (including breathwork, meditation and restoratives), Ceremonial Circles, a live soundbath and all meals (from Friday eve to Sunday brunch). Asana and meditation practices will be offered outdoors under the old growth cedars so long as weather permits - indoor space also available.

Accommodation: 

The accommodation provided by our friends at Ancient Cedars Lodge features large rooms in a breathtaking long build cabin surrounded by cedar tress. All rooms have King bed and private washroom. If you are paying the shared accommodation pricing, please clearly indicate on your registration form who you will be sharing a room with. See below for staycation options for those with their own accommodation.

StayCation

We have limited spaces available for students wishing to join while finding their own accommodations. All meals and practices included. Arrival time is 5pm Friday, depart after brunch, 12:30pm Sunday. All meals, yoga classes, circles and sound bath included.

Schedule:

Friday: 5:00-9:00 pm : asana practice, circle, long table dinner

Saturday: 9:00am-9:00pm (option to arrive for 8:00-9:00 breakfast) : practice, lunch, equinox fire ceremony, long table dinner and sound bath)

Sunday: 9:00am-1:00pm (option to arrive for 8:00-9:00 breakfast) : practice, closing circle, brunch)

Meet the Team

Raelene Hodgson : Teacher

Raelene is a Pemberton-based yoga teacher & owner of Village Yoga Pemberton. Raelene holds a degree in Kinesiology and a Masters in Clinical counselling; is a registered yoga teacher, 200-hour teacher-training faculty member and hosts annual yoga retreats in Kananaskis and Mexico. Her teachings are informed by a variety of different lineages but always enjoy a personal practice that combines the qualities of heat and deep rest. After spending many years travelling and teaching, she is currently loving teaching locally in Pemberton while working as a director in mental health advocacy for youth. When she’s not practicing or teaching yoga, she enjoys the surrounding mountains with her young family and mountain biking with her dog!

 

 

Rebekka Walker : Teacher

The Creative Director of Vancouver School of Healing Arts,  Rebekka is a Yoga Alliance Certified E-RYT 500 with a background in Iyengar, Vinyasa, Restorative, Anusara Yoga, & over 2000 hours of teacher training in these methods. Her lifelong study and exploration of tantric and buddhist philosophy, North & South American Shamanism, Ayurveda, and therapeutic bio-mechanics, has led Rebekka to develop and teach yoga & yoga therapy programs worldwide. Guiding students to share in earth based wisdom traditions and yoga, with clarity, joy and exquisite precision, has been her passion for over 20 years. With a focus on alignment and inspiration, Rebekka’s classes, courses, retreats andworkshops are heart warming, poetic journeys, inside and out… A contributing writer for various publications, when she isn’t travelling to teach, write or practice you can find her at home in the woods with her beloved family.

 

Chantal Denis : Chef

Chantal is a plant-focused chef that is passionate about feeding lots of people, lots of veggies. She has been fortunate enough to live her passion of connecting people through the preparation and sharing of food. Chantal volunteers her time leading community kitchens and she also teaches cooking classes that aim to make vegan food more accessible. She is deeply invested in promoting more conscious, sustainable eating and building food security in her community. On the rare case that she isn't cooking, Chantal enjoys exploring nature, cycling around the city and gushing over vegetables at the farmers market. Chantal has been practicing yoga for many years and is thrilled to be part of a retreat that combines so many of her deepest passions!
